Cornice & Rose is committed to the best practices of sustainability. We believe that a balanced approach with a view toward preservation and long term investment are often the most sustainable strategies. With all projects in which C&R participates we seek to implement energy efficient building construction details and systems.

Cornice & Rose has been involved with many energy efficient “green” building projects utilizing ICF (insulated concrete form) technology, passive and active solar systems, geothermal, green roof systems, smart controls and super insulated technology. We have assisted a client in receiving an approximately $400,000 energy efficiency grant that will allow the project to achieve a nearly “net zero” energy use model. In addition C&R is currently assisting a client to re-develop and construct a building to a USGBC LEED (United States Green Building Council Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) Gold certification level.
